Windows will leave iPhone fans “blown away?”

One of Microsoft’s engineers is boasting that the new touchscreen capabilities in the next version of Windows will leave the hordes of iPhone fans “blown away.” He writes on his blog that the Tablet PC “remains one of the coolest projects remaining in mainstream computing.”

I have to agree. The Tablet PC is truly the one device that will bring together all of our home and mobile computing into one elegant device. They are close.

The engineer Hilton Locke then issues a bold claim. “I will say that if you are impressed by the ‘touch features’ in the iPhone, you’ll be blown away by what’s coming in Windows 7.”

Fujitsu LifeBook U810 - CNET Review

Ambitious but flawed, the Fujitsu LifeBook U810 has more of a traditional laptop design than other UMPCs, but the otherwise excellent keyboard is marred by the loss of several important keys.

Specs: Intel A110 (800 MHz), 1 GB DDR II SDRAM, 5.6 in TFT active matrix, Microsoft Windows Vista, Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium.
